Hyatt Place Corpus Christi

First, I’ll say we had no issue with customer service like I’ve seen in the reviews. I have seen the responses from the owner and I was appalled from how the manager responds back to people so let’s see if I gets similar response. My honest review …. Check in, easy and host was very sweet and accommodating. After check in, we went to go check out our room. The room itself was just disgusting. Don’t walk barefoot as your feet will turn BLACK from dirt. We to make sure we were wearing shoes in and out of bed. It’s sticky and humid in the room from poor circulation. There was mold in the bathroom and tiles from the baseboards were coming loose probably from all the humidity. There was other peoples hairs scattered in the hotel, which isn’t pleasant to see - but maybe I just have an extra eye for it all as I am a SAHM so I clean a lot around the house. Good things: - if you forget something, they most likely have it up front. - breakfast is made with love, sweet lady in back loves her job and you can tell. So happy! - clean lobby. - employees that work there do there best to help guests. Cons - - room is not clean - elevator issues -pool has a possible sink hole issue

Here’s all the issues we had with our terrible stay: -front desk took about 20 minutes to initially assign a room, only to eventually find out at the last minute that they needed to reassign that room to another guest. -once we did get our room keys, the room door was open with maintenance crew working to fix the door lock. On by the way the room assigned was not the type we paid for! We went downstairs to express our dissatisfaction. The front desk staff was rude while trying to address our issue and essentially told us they no longer have rooms available for our type. Our options were to essentially take it or leave it or they can cancel the reservation. For the inconvenience they’ll offer us 18% off (translating to not much honestly given the inconvenience). We opted to just take the room and accommodate ourselves. The maintenance crew was still working on the door when we got back and we had to politely rush him to leave. -the bathroom door wouldn’t shut easily and scrape against the floor -the showers did not replenish and have shower gel. Horrible stay. Stay away from this property.

Came to this hotel and the initial check in took 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes the front desk worker put us in a room someone had already been assigned. Not only did we not get the correct room we had paid for, she had put us in a room that had ongoing maintenance going on. The room we finally were assigned, doesn’t have soap at the sink either. Truly a horrible experience.
